Central College offers 5 main courses consisting of various levels from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma's, depending on which course you have enrolled in and what level you wish to achieve.  Each course consists of a number of subjects that need to be completed.

Accounting

  • Certificate III of Accounting (Financial Services)
  • Diploma of Accounting
  • Advanced Diploma of Accounting

Management

  • Certificate IV
  • Diploma of Management
  • Advanced Diploma of Management

Information Technology

  • Certificate IV
  • Diploma of Information Technology

Multi Media

  • Certificate IV Information Technology (Multimedia)
  • Diploma of Information Technology (Multimedia)

Tourism

  • Certificate III (Retail Sales)
  • Diploma of Tourism (Operations Management)
  • Advanced Diploma of Tourism Management

Study Load:

Students are required to study 20 hours per week over the full duration of their selected course.  This is a combination of studies.

During the mandatory 20 hours study time, students can choose either a minimum of 2 subjects or a maximum per academic term.

Contact hours are the total number of hours in the term students are scheduled to attend classes for teaching purposes, course-related information sessions, supervised study sessions and examinations.

Students are advised to take a maximum of 2 subjects per day. With work, travel & study it can very overwhelming very easily which may affect your ability to maintain a satisfactory academic progress, if you were to take more than 2 subjects per day.

Class times & timetables:

Classes can start from 9.05 with a duration of anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours. The last class starts at 4pm. Not all subjects are available on all days &/or times.

 Some subjects will be offered alternatively from term to term.

No one can be guaranteed: 

  • Subjects are available at certain times

  • Subjects are going to be available on certain days

  • That they will automatically be able to attend a class at a time when it suits

  • There are no evening courses

Students are required to attend classes for times only when scheduled to do so on the student’s individual time table.  Students choose their own timetable in the first week of the term.

 Students will study their chosen subjects, on their chosen day & time for 10 weeks (1 term)

Timetables cannot be changed after the cut off date.   

Whilst we understand that Sydney is not a cheap place and students do need to work to pay for their cost of living, it is the students responsibility to make sure that their work does not clash with their course.

A student’s first responsibility is to their STUDENT VISA.
